This oil painting is painted on gallery wrapped canvas and represents a view from the Troy Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh looking towards downtown durring a period in the summer of 2023 when wildfire smoke from Canada was sweeping across the US. 
The thickly applied intense colors provide a sense of the warm air as the sun sets and the sense that the city is getting ready to rest as thousands head home for the night.
