Saint Padre Pio in Lawrenceville was a lot of fun to paint. I walked around the neighborhood prior to painting this, searching for an ideal spot. The sun was highlighting key parts of the church and I was excited to get in this painting. As I began, the priest came out and we talked for a few minutes . And as I was wrapping up, landscapers for the apartment complex next door began working with leaf blowers, a painters worst nightmare. Grass and dirt flying through the air, I had to Sheila my painting as I ran to the van. Lucky, I got it back safe. One of the many exciting days as a plein air painter in the city.
